Mother Ghost is an eclectic post-punk and electronic duo based out of Houston, Texas, formed by brothers Oscar Flores (vocals, guitar, programming) and Thomas Flores (bass, programming). Originally formed as a conventional three-piece punk band, Mother Ghost transitioned into a duo after cycling through multiple drummers in a short span of time. Forced to adapt, the brothers integrated drum machines and sequencers into their setup. This logistical shift fundamentally transformed their songwriting, allowing them to fuse the raw, DIY aggression of modern post-punk with the infectious, late-80s and early-90s dance grooves of New Wave and House music.
