This is a remastered, reissue of the classic Mexican punk EP by Psicodenica which was originally released in 1990. Really good psychedelic hardcore/punk from Mexico. Recorded in August 1990 in Mexico City, Cahui is Psicodencia's only official release. It's an EP with five tracks that defined an era in the Mexican underground and became cult material for many music lovers.
With an original and refreshing approach that fused the punk sound with other styles, Psicodencia offered an alternative to the traditional punk/hardcore sound; this recording is proof that time hasn't taken its toll on their compositions, which still sound relevant today.
I got copies direct from my bud Manolo in Austin, Texas form his label, Esos Malditos Punks. His label does crucial reissues of older Mexican punk that is out of print or only released on cassette. All on white vinyl and a super cool foldout cover with lyrics, art and gig flyers.
